Excellent and exciting opportunities exist for newly qualified accountants to train within private client wealth management...
Traditionally our clients have had people train for this work from a variety of different backgrounds. Some candidates have come straight in as graduate trainees and have also had a number of notable successes where people have come in a little more senior in their career – typically from the accountancy professions. Our clients soon realised that the discipline of their training was ideally suited to the nature of work that was undertaken. Our clients are not looking for in-house auditors, but they are looking for people who have come from a professional training background. Typically the individuals who will be considered will be in accountancy and who would relish the opportunity to cross train into the off-shore field of wealth management. Specific Programme for Accountants As mentioned above, our clients have had a number of notable successes in the past but typically these have been individuals who have contacted them spec - rather than specifically recruiting from that field. Our clients are therefore seeking people to work within the financial services wealth management sector and use their accountancy training as the background to cross-training into this work. RoleClient handling and client facing but not necessarily face to face as these clients can be based anywhere in the world. Dealing with their finances and liaising with their intermediaries and professional advisors. In somewhat simplistic terms – the combined skills of accountant, office manager and problem solver all rolled into one. Dealing with prominent private clients or families who may have trusts companies and underlying tax structures, so we manage their assets on their behalf or for their beneficiaries where the client relationships can span several generations.
