The Credit Manager is the interface between risk management groups and the unit’s sales structure. They will be responsible for the structuring, negotiation and delivery of credit based solutions and have key responsibility for the analysis, documentation, monitoring and management of the risks within the assigned portfolio, as well as approving transactions within strict guidelines.
Responsibilities:Growth/development of the credit book in the British Isles in conjunction with RM’s Profitability/Return: Management of risk/reward, pricing of transactions, ROE and profitability of credit book within GWM/geographical target parameters Strategic Alignment: Ensure continued alignment of the credit portfolio with GWM business and risk strategies and RBCFG risk policies and procedures Structure: Work with clients and RM’s to structure optimum credit based solutions within RBCFG risk appetite and lending parameters Risk Analysis: Responsible for all internal credit correspondence, including TR’s, the ongoing risk analysis of the borrower and the transaction, BRR assessment and recommendation. Documentation: Ensure appropriate documenting of all credit risks per guidelines and approvals. Preparation of legal documentation ie. term sheets, offer letters etc Credit Exposure Monitoring: Ensure transaction remains within approval deadlines; covenant and financial compliance of the transaction/borrower. Responsible for the maintenance of high quality risk profile of the portfolio, portfolio review and reporting Collateral Monitoring: Responsible for ongoing collateral management of the portfolio Policy: Assist with the development of policy and credit products to meet the needs of clients and the business Training: Be involved in the development and delivery of credit training of client facing professionals in the British Isles as may be required from time to time Knowledge and Skills Required: Banker with 5-7 years relevant credit experience 3-5 years management/leadership experience preferred ACIB qualification Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice to be held or obtained Strong risk assessment/credit skills Sound working knowledge of securities markets, foreign exchange markets and investment market practices Client focus Negotiating Problem solving Motivating others Decision making Coaching and teamwork Reference 2061Or call Loraine on 832463 Alternativelty email your CV to
