The principle responsibilities of this role are to encourage and lead the Team by example and effective leadership. Ensuring that a high degree of all securities data is maintained by continually enhancing methods for preventing, detecting and correcting data by identification of efficiency opportunities. In addition to ensure that all requests, amendments and enquiries have been dealt with accurately in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES- To provide expert cover of Administrators’ processing/responsibilities when they are absent.
- To ensure the smooth & efficient running of the section on a daily basis.
- Ensuring completion of the day’s securities set ups, data amendments, price additions and “Query report” processing plus the posting of any transactions.
- Ensuring the investigation and resolution of all queries and the completion of reconciliations within the prescribed time frames.
- The maintenance of all supporting documentation relating to the completion of reconciliation/ queries.
- Providing and implementing solutions to ensure high quality of securities data
The timely completion of projects and data tidy up exercises. - The adherence to risk management controls/procedures.
- Undertake any additional duties that may be requested.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED- Must possess superior technical knowledge of market practices and security types to provide explanation and on going training of procedures and markets practices worldwide to less experienced staff in the Team and monitor their performance.
- Must be consistently highly motivated, committed to the business and able to work on one’s own initiative.
- Should be systems literate
- Must possess good keyboard skills with a high degree of accuracy and a thorough and methodical approach to accurate processing of data.
- Must possess ability to prioritise and meet continual deadlines.
- Must possess the capability of adhering to procedures and risk management controls at all times.
- Must possess client focus ensuring that all client queries/enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner, within the defined time frame.
- Must possess a thorough and methodical approach to the accurate authorisation of processing.
- Must possess good communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Should enjoy investigating and possess good problem solving skills to be able to resolve queries and initiate solutions using own initiative.
- Must be a team player.
- Should possess at least 3 years experience in the Securities Industry, together with a good understanding of other operational areas.
