This role is NOT for the feint hearted! Operating at the most senior level the successful candidate will have ultimate responsibility for tactical allocation of assets, bringing together all constituent parts of our clients investment business. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
The succesful candidate will: - To be responsible for investment performance of Asset Allocation Services, derived from application of the appropriate process, methodology and implementation of strategy.
- To assume responsibility for the management and development of the Asset Allocation philosophy, approach and policies within the investment department.
- To play a lead role in the development of the investment philosophy and process across the business and product range.
- To manage the day-to-day activities and ensure the training and development of members of the investment professionals reporting to this position.
- To provide the requisite performance, attribution, risk management and marketing information for compliance, review and statutory reporting purposes.
- To assist in raising the profile and recognition among clients, prospective clients, competitors, and counterparties ofour client as an international asset manager of quality and substance.
- To contribute to the strategic development of the business in all respects.
Professional Requirements:- A proven record of success in managing third party investments and setting investment strategy across multiple asset classes.
- Experience at managing an investment team within an investment institution on an international basis.
- Have the experience and personality necessary to lead, manage and motivate a successful team
- Demonstrated capacity to manage risk and governance issues within the regulatory framework.
- A recognised investment qualification i.e. MSI (Dip), Securities Institute and/or CFA. The latter is preferred.
