Responsible for completing various aspects of Securities processing, including Settlements, Corporate Actions and Dividends; within defined service level agreements and meet market dependant deadlines. To liaise with Client areas and outside Agencies on matters relating to Securities issues. Provide reporting to client areas on relevant information. Manage the daily workflow. To monitor/control and minimise areas of risk.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Ability to prioritise workload
- Communicate with brokers/agents as required
- Resolve any queries from brokers and sub-Custodians
- Ensure that Corporate Actions are promptly acknowledged and ensure that client’s portfolios accurately reflect transactions such as Events, Dividends etc.
- Assist with the investigation and clearance of client queries within the procedural time frames.
- It should be kept in mind, when processing work, Our Client is a client driven business and all client requirements are dealt with first and foremost.
- Review daily cash Nostro Reconciliations and match/clear outstanding entries
- Investigate Stock Reconciliation discrepancies as soon as they are advised by stock Reconciliation Department
- Review and action on a daily basis any request from the exception management team.
- Inform their supervisor immediately of any situation, which may result in either a client complaint or monetary loss.
- Support team members to ensure all allocated work is completed in a timely manner with high standards being maintained.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED- Detailed knowledge of trade processing, settlements procedures, Corporate Actions and Dividends
- Should be systems literate and have good numerical and problem solving skills.
- Must possess good communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under own directive
- Must possess client focus ensuring that all client queries/enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner, within the defined time frame.
- Must possess the capability of adhering to procedures and risk management controls at all times.
- Must possess a thorough and methodical approach to accurate processing of trades

- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word etc)
