Responsible for the management of a Client Relationship Team. Also responsible for all aspects of administration and client service for the clients assigned to that team. Personally responsible for the day to day administration of a portfolio of complex structures.

  • Personally responsible for the day to day administration of a portfolio of complex structures.
  • Provide technical guidance to more junior staff.
  • Responsible for identifying cross-selling opportunities from the existing client base.
  • Responsible for the management and development of the staff within the relationship team.
  • Assist the Director(s) with the smooth operation of the department as a whole.
  • May undertake group administration duties and attendance at monthly Management Meetings.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analysis of client requests with reference to the Director(s) where appropriate on technical or legal matters.
  • Ensure that the team implements and adheres to corporate policies as laid down at any given time.
  • Ensure that the team implements and adheres to the terms of the Trust/Company documentation for the cases handled by that team.
  • Responsible for the efficient day to day management of all the client’s affairs in accordance with the company policies.
  • Prepare and review comprehensive reports of a technical nature.

HR

  • Provide on the job training and technical assistance to the team.
  • Provide support to other members of Trust Group as required.
  • Contribute to overall effectiveness of department by interaction/communication with colleagues.
  • Carry out appraisals for all staff for whom responsible (i.e. within the client relationship team) and exit interviews.
  • Identify training requirements for the other members of the client relationship team.
  • Assist the Human Resources department in pay reviews, disciplinary matters and recruitment.
  • Review appraisal process and documentation for the team.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold an internationally recognised professional qualification, ideally an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, Chartered Association of Certified or Chartered Accountants or Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
  • Generally have at least 8 years experience in Trust and Company administration.
  • Possess organisational/prioritisation/presentation skills.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to allow for a good relationship with clients and colleagues.
  • As a result of study and experience possess a good working knowledge of Trust Administration, Company Laws and the tax ramifications of various structures.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to undertake business trips as and when required.
  • Ability to work using own initiative and make decisions within corporate policies.
  • A very good understanding of the Company’s IT systems and Microsoft Products.
  • Project management skills.
  • Leadership and delegation skills.
  • Committed to getting the job done.
  • Co-ordinate and review the workflow of the team(s).
  • Monitor and report on the recoverability of fees and chargeable time.
  • Maintain the minimum CPD requirement.
