To manage specific IT projects within a work program ensuring that they are completed successfully. Ensure resourcing conflicts are addressed, business benefits realised, adherence to the Project Management Framework standards and reporting commitments to the senior manager are met.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for; There are five key success factors which underpin the responsibilities of this position:
Program Management- Expected to manage IT projects and report status to the program manager or the senior manager.
- Ensures resources are assigned to each project for which they are responsible and understand their roles in delivering the overall workplans.
- Ensures project scope/requirements changes are managed correctly tasking into account events which impact timelines, budget and risk using appropriate fact based metrics and assumptions.
- Ensures the execution/production of Project Management Framework related documents. (e.g. Charters, DOU, CTD)
- Raises and tracks issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves issues of medium complexity and escalates using defined chains of command.
- Creates adequate project governance for each project for which they are responsible.
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensures regulatory and audit compliance issues are taken into account during the planning and implementation phase of each project for which they are responsible.
Systems and Technology- Ensures systems evolve in-line with COP.
- Maintains constant dialogue with IT
Operations- Ensures efficiency and cost minimization where appropriate
- Ensures internal/external client delivery consistent with that required to support Strategic vision
Manage People and Relationships- Collaborates as required with colleagues across the organization.
- Works effectively with Senior Managers within assigned Business Streams on initiatives.
- Manages project communications including status reports to project team.
- Provides senior manager PMO with timely updates on project issues.

The position requires the following qualifications and experience.
- Project Management Skills:
- Must be able to manage the consulting process, planning, research, specification, budget
- Control and implementation of both business and technology solutions.
- 2+ Years of proven success in managing projects.
