Our client is currently looking to recruit a highly technical engineer with advanced level skills in two or more technologies to include: Server Operating Systems (Microsoft, Unix, ISeries), Sharepoint, MS Exchange, VM Ware/SAN/NAS Systems, Database technologies (SQL, DB2), Clustering/Replication software. The key role is to provide technical support for the groups IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Database support - Technical implementation of new business applications - Implementation of patches/upgrades - Investigating and resolution of business systems issues - Automation and improvement of operational support - Identifying areas of risk, mitigation and improvement of the IT infrastructure - Documenting delivered projects - Providing technical support on issues out of hours Experience Required:- Experience of and involvement in the software development lifecycle, to include user acceptance testing and system implementation - Previously worked in a structured IT department preferably an ITIL aligned environment - Previously worked in finance industry - Five years experience of 3rd line support in a demanding environment (preferably financial) - Degree level education or equivalent experience - One or more technical qualifications relevant to their field of expertise (current) - ITIL foundation certification To ApplyIf you are interested in this role then please contact Loraine or Sarah on 01534 832463, where they will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have.
