This role will be responsible for the effective management of the compliance function. The sucessful candidiate will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing development and implementation of all compliance procedures in order to minimise regulatory liability and litigation risk to the company.

The application of indepth regional knowledge of all Corporate Events to attain the timely/accurate authorisation of Regional Corporate Action processing, training of the Regional Administrators and the completion of risk management functionalities in the Corporate Actions Department.

The job holder will be expected to create and maintain a fully compliant environment within the Bank in order to keep findings on regulatory inspections to a minimum. To protect, promote and enhance the Banks' reputation,in addition to discharge the (Compliance Officer) accountabilities set out in the Compliance Officer Handbook by proactively assisting management in identifying and containing compliance risk, monitoring, reporting and certification, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
